Getting to Taï National Park – A Guide

Reaching Taï National Park

Taï National Park can be accessed via car or public transportation, with information below on routes from different departure cities.

Departing from Abidjan:

  • By car

The drive from Abidjan to the town of Taï takes approximately 12 hours. We suggest taking the road located to the north of the park, and two options are available:

  1. From Abidjan, take the north highway to Yamoussoukro, then take the national road to Bouaflé, Daloa and Duékoué to arrive in Guiglo.
  2. From Abidjan, take the north highway and exit to Tiassalé. Continue through Divo, Gagnoa, Issia and Duékoué to arrive to Guiglo.

Once in Guiglo, a three-hour drive on an unsealed bush road leads to Taï.

  • By public transportation

Two bus companies go to Taï :

  • Apache Transport: 10 100 FCFA – departure from the “Siporex” bus station at Yopougon
  • TSF: 10 100 FCFA – Departure from the new train station in Adjamé

Departing from Man :

  • By car

The drive from Man to Taï takes about 6 hours via the cities of Bangolo and Duékoué. Once in Guiglo, a three-hour drive on an unsealed bush road leads directly to Taï.

  • By public transportation

The bus companies Apache Transport and TSF leave from Duékoué to Taï. The ticket price is about 5100 FCFA.

Departing from San Pedro :

  • By car
  1. In the rainy season, the road at the south of the park is impassable by car. It is therefore imperative to drive in the north of the park. The journey passes through the cities of Soubré, Issia and Duékoué. Once in Guiglo, a three-hour drive on an unsealed bush road leads to Taï. The northern route to Taï takes approximately 9 hours.
  2. In the dry season, road conditions permitting, take the road south of the park towards Tabou, then a bush road passing through Grabo and Djouroutou leads to Taï. The southern route to Taï takes approximately 8 hours.
  • By public transportation

From San Pedro, travel with local transport to Tabou, from there, two options are available: Either take a motorcycle taxi to Taï for a negotiable price of about 30 000 FCFA. Or take a badjan (small bush bus) to Djouroutou, and change at Neka to Taï. This journey takes around 10 to 12 hours.

Please note: The above-mentioned prices are subject to change. It is recommended to enquire at the bus station the day prior to departure for current information on the departure times and ticket prices.
